There is something very exciting about welcoming a new pup into your family and what’s even more exciting is shopping for special puppy must haves. Kiki was my inspiration for this list of puppy must haves, even though when we welcomed her into our family she received a lot of hand-me-downs from Zara which brought us happiness too. However now she is getting her own little personal collection of new items too. Happy shopping for your pupper 🙂

Meet Zamba, making his debut for the August 2023 calendar.
If you follow us on Instagram you’ll know just how much mischief this little dude has gotten up to in the past four months of being with us. Nonetheless, here he is in all his little bear cuteness for the month of August.
Life with two puppies can be overwhelming, especially when they need mental stimulation and enrichment play non stop. Kiki and Zamba have constant access to toys and chews which they love but they need that extra puppy enrichment play everyday to keep their mischief in check.
Kiki and Zamba both have loads of energy. If they are not playing with each other, they are looking to me to give them the mental stimulation and puppy enrichment they crave, which is why I love Sniffari’s so much. Not only are they easy but they are a fantastic way for both Kiki and Zamba to get their sniffers and brains working!
Here are three easy ways Kiki and Zamba enjoy a Sniffari …
Hide and find treats
What you’ll need: your pups favourite treats and a space where you can hide them.
What to do: Simply hide loads of treats around your chosen space (in the garden, around the house or a specific room) and tell your pups to Find It. Let them follow the treat smells and one by one they find and enjoy their treats. We love playing this sniffari game in the garden and it is a great way to get your pups super engaged with their sniffers and it drains that puppy energy too, a win win in my eyes 😉
Shop some yummy treats to get those sniffers working…
Enrichment toys
We love the Nina Ottosson range of enrichment toys. There are so many to choose from and they range in difficulty. They are great quality and very easy to clean! We have a few and both Kiki and Zamba love them. Kiki gets right to the treats quite quickly, using her brain while Zamba can sniff the goodness but cannot reach it requiring him to use his brain a little more. Enrichment toys makes your pup use their brain and their sniffer. It’s that irresistible smell of their favourite treat that gets their brain working hard enough to figure out how to get to the treat.
Sniffari Outing
This one is pretty simple and requires nothing besides you and your pup going off for a walk together. Allow them to sniff anything and everything they want to along the way. So often when we walk our pups we don’t allow them to stop and sniff what they really want to sniff, we pull and call and push on with the walk in the hopes they get their sniffing cup filled and their energy cup drained a little. But allowing them to stop and sniff anything and everything uses their senses and their brains far more which means their overall happiness cup will be much fuller and therefore you have much more satisfied pups! Give it a try next time you head out, you might not cover much distance but your pup will love you for the extra sniff time.

We are kicking off July with a calendar come back!
Most of you will know Zara and how much she loved being here, sharing life’s wisdom and products we love along with some beautiful photography. Right now I am not ready to officially close our chapter on Zara, and I am pretty sure she will feature in some upcoming blog posts. Perhaps one day when my heart aches a little less I can dedicate a special post to Zara, but for now we carry on…
Meet Kiki! Our tiny but feisty Boston Terrier. She has filled our home and our hearts with attitude we didn’t know we needed. We hope you enjoy her antics as much as we do 😉
Gia loves baking at home. It gives her a sense of independence, something she can mostly do by herself. She gets to create something delicious that she can enjoy. So when Meraki wanted to collaborate with us we jumped at the opportunity!
Meraki offers a wide variety of pre-mix cakes and sweet treats, from scones and pancakes to red velvet cakes. Each pre-mix is carefully planned to make your home baking session simple yet delicious each and every time.
I love the Meraki pre-mixes because it makes my life a little easier when comes to baking with Gia. All the dry ingredients are measured out perfectly for me already, all Gia has to do is crack a few eggs which she absolutely loves doing, and add the wet ingredients, give it a good mix with my supervision of course. Whatever you’re making goes into the oven or the frying pan and before you know it you have your freshly baked, scone, cupcakes or pancakes. Yes it really is that easy with Meraki pre-mixes.
You can also dine at The Merake Cafe, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner or even a friendly catch up with a bestie you haven’t seen in a while. The Merake Cafe menu offers something for everyone be it something savoury or something sweet in the form of their delicious signature cakes.
So the next time you are in the mood for a bake at home day, get your hands on a Meraki pre-mix of your choice, you won’t regret it!
Shedding season is all year long with Zara! Between Zara, Ollie, Roo and myself I actually don’t know who sheds more hair- haha! But with the BobSweep Pet Hair Slam Robotic Vacuum Cleaner and Mop all that shedding is gone within minutes.
When BobSweep asked to work with us we jumped with joy and couldn’t wait to really put Bob the robo vacuum to the test. We’ve seen these robot vacuums all over social media and they look really funky but the question on everyones mind is … Do they actually work?
While we waited for Bob to arrive the excitement around him joining our family was real. Gia wasn’t quite sure what to expect but we kept her excitement about Bob at an all time high, so when he finally did arrive, oh we couldn’t contain ourselves!!
I can now answer everyones number one question… Does Bob really work? And my answer is a straight up YES! He works extremely well. Not only am I impressed by his mechanics but I am hugely impressed with how well he sweeps and mops the floors.
First things first, you need to plug Bob in and charge him up. He comes with his docking station that plugs into the wall. If you’re like us and have higher electricity voltage, you will need a special adapter plug. Once he is charged you turn him on and link him to the app you download. Once that is done it’s as easy as pushing the play button on the cleaning setting and off he goes!
Bob maps your house on his first clean, remembering where obstacles and objects are. His mapping can be seen on the app in real time! It is incredible to watch. We set him to sweep up first, collecting dog hairs and cat hairs because we have pets and along the way he collected and swept up some rice that Gia had dropped during dinner time and anything else he could find. Like I said, we really put Bob to the test!
Once the sweeping was done we changed his attachments to the water compartment, attached the mop cloth and set him off again. I was absolutely blown away with how the floors turned out! He takes his time and doesn’t rush making sure he does his job to the best of his ability. His battery life is also pretty great. He did our entire house sweeping and mopping and still had some battery life left. Once he is done he happily returns himself to his docking station. You can also stop his cleaning session at anytime and return him to his docking station.
Bob has no issues manoeuvring around pets- haha. Zara was most unimpressed by Bob and his antics and refused to move out his cleaning path. Luckily Bob doesn’t worry about things like this and happily worked his way around Zara!
You can also schedule Bob, meaning you can tell him when the best time is for him to clean your floors. Once he has mapped your house, you can decide which rooms you want him to clean and when. While he was mapping our house we closed a few doors to rooms we didn’t want him going in, you also need to be careful around stairs, you don’t want Bob injuring himself! We have set Bob up for our main areas of living but you can easily set him up for every room and bathroom if you wish.
Overall, I am hugely impressed with the BobSweep Pet Hair Slam Robotic Vacuum Cleaner and Mop!! If you are looking for a little help with keeping up with pet hair shedding then Bob is most definitely the thing you need.

In our home, Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. We love to eat all the treats and get into all the festive feels by listening to Christmas songs and doing silly dances, taking Christmas photos in matching pyjamas and snuggling up to enjoy a few Christmas movies together and yes that includes Zara too.
While Christmas treats are a must have in our home, most of them are not dog friendly at all so to include Zara in our Christmas treats this year I have made these two really easy Christmas dog treat recipes which we hope your doggos will love too 🙂
Frozen Beetroot Christmas treats
Ingredients
4 medium beetroots
Directions
Roast, boil or steam your peeled beetroot. Once cooked and soft blend them up into a smooth puree. Spoon the puree into silicone Christmas themed moulds and freeze over night. Pop them out the moulds and let your pups enjoy 1 or 2 at a time! Keep frozen.
Christmas Pancakes
Ingredients
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1.5 tbs melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1.5 cups of flour (plain, wholemeal or oat)
1 tsp baking powder
Directions
Beat together eggs, milk, butter and vanilla. Then sift all the dry ingredients into the mixture. Beat or whisk until properly mixed. Heat a pan and you can either make giant pancakes and then use your Christmas cookie cutters to cut out the shapes or you can put your cookie cutters into the pan and pour the pancake batter into them. Once cooked allow them to cool before your pup enjoys them 🙂
Make a big batch and freeze them, take them out as and when you need them- allow to defrost before serving.
These are two really quick and easy dog treat recipes (fit for humans too) because I know this time year can get really chaotic. We hope your furry loves enjoy their yummy Christmas treats as much as Zara does.
If your toddler is anything like Gia then you’ll love this animal inspired gift guide. Gia is extremely drawn towards anything that includes an animal- be it wild animals, sea creatures or pets she loves them all and she loves learning about them all. This gift guide is filled with toys and goodies that are animal inspired that Gia absolutely loves. Puzzles, real life stories, figurines and play scenes to encourage imaginative play, fun collectables and interactive toys.
