Let’s be honest… brushing Kiki and Zamba’s teeth has never been part of our daily routine. Between mom life, pupfluencer life, and two very opinionated pups, the idea of wrestling with a toothbrush just never fits in. That’s exactly why I fell in love with the Pets Are Kids Doggy Dental Spray it’s the quickest and easiest way to keep Kiki and Zamba’s teeth clean, white, and their breath oh-so-fresh without any brushing at all!
No More Brushing Just Spray and Go!
This Pets Are Kids Doggy Dental Spray has completely integrated itself into our routine. One quick spray in the morning, and I can instantly check “dog dental care” off my to-do list. Within just a couple of weeks, I noticed incredible changes, their teeth looked cleaner, plaque build-up was minimal, and best of all, their breath smelled amazing.
What I love most about the Pets Are Kids Doggy Dental Spray is that it actually works!! It’s designed to freshen breath, fight plaque and tartar, and keep teeth naturally white, all without brushing. The formula is safe, gentle, and super easy to use, which means this busy dog mom can finally keep up with dental care (and Kiki and Zamba don’t even mind it!).
It’s now part of our everyday routine: shake, spray, and go. Kiki and Zamba think it’s a treat, and I get peace of mind knowing their smiles are as healthy as they look.
Why Every Dog Mom Needs This
If brushing your dog’s teeth has been on your “I’ll do it tomorrow” list for months, it’s time to ditch the guilt and make life easier.
Clean white teeth. Fresh breath. No brushing. Just healthy smiles and more doggy kisses!
Trust me, once you try the Pets Are Kids Doggy Dental Spray, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

Every year around this time, my Instagram feed turns into a swirl of pumpkin spice everything with cozy sweaters, cinnamon candles, pumpkin lattes… all the fall vibes!
Now, we don’t actually have the fall season where we live (we live in Zambia!) but that doesn’t stop me from loving everything about it. So, this year I decided to bring a little piece of that cozy “pumpkin spice life” to Kiki and Zamba.
They’ve never had a pumpkin spice pup cup before but after seeing so many adorable pumpkin themed dog treats online, I thought, why not try it for them?
And let me tell you, it was a total hit.
Ingredients
(Enough for 2–3 small pup cups)
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup cooked pumpkin puree
¼ tsp cinnamon (just a tiny bit, make sure it’s plain cinnamon, not mixed spice)
A squirt of honey
¼ tsp vanilla extract
Squirty cream for topping (because that’s the best part!)
How to Make Pumpkin Spice Pup Cups
Blend it all up: Add everything (except the cream) to a blender and mix until thick and creamy.
Scoop into cups: Pour or spoon the mixture into some cute cups (not glass).
Top with love: Add a swirl of squirty cream on top because this is the star of the show.
Watch the joy: Serve it up and let your pups enjoy their cozy “pumpkin spice” moment!
Zamba devoured his in seconds, while Kiki savoured every last lick!
Make Frozen Pumpkin Dog Treats
If you have leftover mixture, don’t toss it! Spread it onto Lick Mats for an easy boredom buster. Spoon it into ice cube trays or silicone molds and freeze itfor later. Or fill a Kong toy, pop it in the freezer overnight, and give it to your pup the next day as a boredom-busting snack.
Even though we don’t live in the USA or experience the fall season, this little recipe made us feel part of it and it was such a fun way to treat Kiki and Zamba.
So if you’ve been watching all those cozy fall videos online and want to bring a taste of it to your own home (and your pups!), this is your sign to try Homemade Pumpkin Spice Pup Cups.

If we as humans take vitamins, supplements, or even those trendy superfood powders every day to feel our best… why shouldn’t our pets get the same boost? That’s exactly what I thought the first time I tried Pets Are Kids Mushroom Chews for Kiki and Zamba and let me tell you, these chews have completely changed our daily routine (in the best way possible!).
The Magical Power of Mushrooms for Dogs
Mushrooms aren’t just for dinner plates or fancy lattes, they’re packed with nutrients that support everything from immune health to energy levels. Pets Are Kids has taken this powerful superfood and transformed it into a delicious daily chew for dogs. Think of it as a tiny, tasty health boost wrapped in a treat your pup actually wants.
Here’s why we are obsessed:
Immune Support: Mushrooms are like little bodyguards for your dog’s health, helping them fight off bugs and stay strong year-round.
Overall Vitality: These chews support energy, focus, and even digestion, giving your dog the pep and stamina to tackle zoomies, walks, and playtime like a champ.
Longevity & Brain Health: Full of antioxidants, mushrooms help reduce inflammation and support healthy aging, so your furry friends can stay sharp and spry for years to come.
Skin & Coat Glow: The nutrients in these chews don’t just help inside, they shine on the outside, improving skin and fur so your dog looks (and feels) their absolute best.
Why Kiki and Zamba Give Them Four Paws Up
If taste-testing was a job, Kiki and Zamba would be full-time employees. And their verdict? They can’t get enough. These mushroom chews are so tasty, Kiki and Zamba think of them as a treat not a supplement. No more sneaky pill pockets, no more powder mixed into food. Just pure excitement every time I pick up the tub.
For me personally, it’s also the peace of mind. Just like I wouldn’t skip my daily vitamins, I feel confident knowing Kiki and Zamba are getting their own daily boost. Healthy, happy pups = a happy home.
The Bottom Line
Pets Are Kids Mushroom Chews are more than just treats, they’re wellness in a bite. Delicious and packed with nutrients, they make supporting your dog’s overall health simple.
Because let’s be honest: our pets aren’t just pets. They’re family. And family deserves the very best every single day.

Here in Zambia, we don’t really celebrate Halloween or “spooky season” the way it’s done overseas—but I often wish we did. I see how much fun children have with all the decorations, candy, and of course, every adorable Halloween costume, and I can’t help but want Gia to experience that too.
So, I’ve made it a little tradition of ours to bring some Halloween magic into our home. Every year, Gia gets to dress up in a fun Halloween costume, and the best part is pairing her look with Zamba and Kiki. It’s our own way of celebrating, capturing the cutest kid-and-dog costume moments for the ’gram and making memories we’ll treasure forever.
There’s nothing cuter (or more Instagram-worthy!) than kids and dogs dressed up in coordinating Halloween costumes, and this is what I try and achieve for Gia each Halloween since that’s where “spooky season” ends for us…
We’ve rounded up the best dog and kid Halloween costume ideasthat are equal parts cute and creative. Plus, we’ll share some of our past looks (with links!) so you can get the perfect matching Halloween look for you and your fur family – and don’t forget to tag us in your Halloween posts 🙂
Happy Halloween costume shopping, we hope to have inspired you to match with your furry loves this Halloween! Tag us in your posts and follow us on Instagram @stylish_paws to see what we get up to this Halloween!
Back-to-school season brings a big shift for every family, including the four-legged family members! Gia’s been on school holidays for the past 8 weeks, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our lazy mornings and endless play sessions, cuddles, and a house full of energy!
While we’re excited for new routines, and what year two at school brings for Gia, Kiki and especially Zamba struggles to settle into the back-to-school routine!
So here are a few thoughtful adjustments to help ease your pup into the back-to-school routine…
1. Establish a Predictable Routine
Just like us, dogs thrive on routine. When Gia goes back to school, I try to maintain a consistent schedule for school run, meals, and playtime.
Morning: wake up & enjoy school run before breakfast
Afternoon: I try give them a boredom buster
Evening: Family playtime to burn off energy
A predictable routine helps your dog feel secure and less stressed when the house is empty during the day.
2. Create a Cozy Comfort Zone
I never exclude Kiki and Zamba in any room and often I will find them curled up on Gia’s bed or in her playroom, especially in the early days of back-to-school. You can set up a special area in your home where your dog feels safe and relaxed while the family is out.
Include:
A comfy dog bed or blanket
A favourite toy or two
Calming items like an unwashed T-shirt with their tiny humans scent (this works really well!)
This designated spot becomes your dog’s “home base” and signals that downtime is okay. My office is probably Kiki and Zamba’s “home base” for quiet time, they love curling up under my desk while I work.
3. Tire Them Out Before You Leave
A tired dog is a happy dog! Before school or work, spend 15-20 minutes on activities that burn energy. When dogs start the day with exercise, they’re less likely to become anxious or destructive when left alone, however I am home a lot because I work from home but on days when I am out or in and out a lot I prioritise a quick game of fetch for Zamba and I offer Kiki a chew toy she can bury!
A brisk morning walk
A short game of fetch in the yard
Quick obedience training for mental stimulation
4. Keep Their Minds Busy
Dogs get bored just like we do. I like to give Kiki and Zamba interactive toys and puzzles or bones (dog safe ones) to keep them mentally stimulated while I am busy with my day.
Lick mats or frozen Kongs
Treat-dispensing puzzle toys (timer based ones are awesome!)
Snuffle mats for scent games
Mental enrichment is key to easing separation anxiety and preventing mischief. Get 10% off SODAPUP enrichment bowls and toys using our code STACEY —> Click here to shop
7. Include Your Pup in Activities
Zamba’s favourite part of his back-to-school routine is going on school run! If you follow us on Instagram then you will know exactly what I am talking about. His second favourite time of the day is when Gia gets home from school!
Take them on school runs if you can
Play a quick fetch game in the backyard
Let your pup “help” with homework by sitting nearby
This helps them reconnect with the family and burn off that “I missed you all day!” energy.
8. Give Them Extra Love & Patience
Remember: your pup doesn’t understand why life suddenly changed. A little patience, attention, and reassurance goes a long way in helping them adapt to the new routine.
Back-to-school season can be an adjustment for the whole family — but especially for our loyal pups. With a consistent routine, mental stimulation, and plenty of love, your dog will transition smoothly into this quieter season of the year.
